MapMy Financial Wellbeing · Your sessions

Three sessions, and you'll know where you stand

Your employer has funded this. There is nothing to pay, nothing to sign up to, and no one is selling you anything. Just an adviser who actually looks at your situation and tells you the truth about it.

How it runs

What happens, in order

You can stop after any one of them. Most people do all three because by the second one it is genuinely useful.

01

Quick chat

About 15 minutes

A no-pressure introduction so you know who you are talking to before you tell anyone anything about your money.

  • What is on your mind right now
  • How the programme works, and what is private
  • What to have handy for the main session
  • No forms, no numbers, no commitment
02

Main session

45 to 60 minutes

The real discovery. We go through your whole picture properly — the part almost nobody has ever had done for them.

  • What comes in, and where it actually goes
  • Debt: what it costs and the order to clear it
  • KiwiSaver: the fund, the rate, the employer match
  • Housing: what you could borrow, or how your loan is set up
  • Goals, and what stands between you and them
03

Delivery

About 30 minutes

Your plan, written down, in plain English — yours to keep whether you do anything with it or not.

  • Where you stand today, in numbers
  • What is on track and what needs attention
  • The next steps, in priority order
  • What each one is worth to you

And if you want us to take it forward

Completely your call — there is no obligation at any point. If you do want help putting the plan into action, we handle it end to end: the lender, the KiwiSaver provider, the paperwork, the follow-up. You still pay us nothing. We are paid by the lender or the provider, and we tell you exactly what that is before you commit to anything.

Where you are now

Six places people start from

Nobody starts from zero and nobody starts from the same place. Find the one that sounds like you — that is where your session begins.

Getting on top of it

Bad debt, and finding the surplus

Cards, hire purchase, buy now pay later, a personal loan — and never quite enough left at the end of the month.

Your session: what you actually have spare, which debt to kill first, and what that frees up.
Saving for it

First home — the target

You want to buy, but the deposit and the numbers feel like a moving target.

Your session: the deposit you need, your KiwiSaver withdrawal, what you could borrow, and a realistic date.
Doing it now

First home — lending and onboarding

You are ready, or nearly. Now it is pre-approval, offers and paperwork.

Your session: getting you approved, structuring the loan properly, and us doing the running with the bank.
Already own

Existing home — better debt

You have a mortgage. Whether it is set up well is a different question.

Your session: structure, refix dates, offset or revolving credit, and how many years we can take off it.
Building

Investing — using your equity

There is equity sitting in the house and you are wondering what it could be doing.

Your session: your usable equity, what it would buy, the cashflow and yield, and whether it stacks up.
The countdown

Retirement — what is the plan?

It is close enough to matter and you want to know if you are going to be alright.

Your session: what you will have, the income it produces, and what closing the gap actually takes.

Who pays for what

Your employer funds the programme. That is the benefit they are giving you.
You pay nothing for the sessions or the written summary — not now, not later.
If you choose to go ahead with a mortgage or a KiwiSaver change through us, the lender or provider pays us a commission. You are told the amount before you commit.
Your employer never sees your information. They know you attended. That is all.

Where a fee could ever apply — a non-bank loan, or a loan repaid early where the lender reclaims its commission — we tell you in writing and agree it with you first.

Take the first one

Fifteen minutes is all the first session takes

No preparation, no documents, no obligation. Just a conversation to see whether this is useful to you.

In person in Cambridge, Waikato — or online, anywhere in New Zealand.
